Chanel Nº5 In a New Light was an immersive brand experience and interactive art installation in New York City. Inside, visitors engaged with art pieces symbolizing the aura of Nº5 and its creation story. The installation came at the beginnings of the branded experience boom in the late 2010s, and created delicate moments for attendees to experience the fragrance through sight, sound, touch, and smell.

Inside the experience visitors could interact with responsive reflecting pools embedded 4K screens and play with the notes of the fragrance with a custom light organ, and even create custom scented postcards to send to loved ones.

I designed the technology systems alongside developers and designers using Arduinos, light sensors, projectors, and Kinects that enabled delicate and powerful interactions throughout the experience.
