"Genius: Studio," presented by National Geographic in the heart of NYC, sought to reimagine the way we engage with art. This interactive installation drew inspiration from the vibrant and revolutionary spirit of Pablo Picasso, inviting visitors to delve into an experiential journey through technology and creativity. My contributions were centered on translating Picasso's groundbreaking work into dynamic, interactive formats that enriched the visitor experience and fostered a deeper connection with his legacy.
In the ideation phase, I played a key role in conceptualizing how to integrate interactive technology with Picasso's art. This involved a hands-on approach to prototyping, where I toggled between developing software prototypes myself and guiding external developers. This process was crucial for assessing the feasibility of our ambitious ideas and ensuring that our technical solutions could gracefully scale to production. My efforts were dedicated to preserving the essence of Picasso's work while innovating ways for visitors to interact with and contribute to the art.
Navigating the intersection of creative vision and technical requirements, I ensured that our team's innovative concepts were grounded in practical implementation. Collaborating with a range of freelancers, I augmented our team's capabilities, carefully curating talent that could bring our ideas to life. Specifying the technical hardware with AV vendors was a critical task, requiring a keen understanding of our creative aspirations, technical demands, and the overall quality we aimed to achieve. My role was instrumental in making informed decisions that aligned with our high standards, ultimately enhancing the overall impact of the Genius: Studio.
Working on the "Genius: Studio" was a journey of creative exploration and technological innovation, encapsulating the spirit of Picasso in an interactive format. The project underscored the importance of collaborative effort and the unique blend of art and technology, offering visitors a new way to engage with the essence of creativity.
