IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE EP
This EP was recorded in my "studio" [read room] with Ben Caiazza in the Spring of 2011. I had a drum set, bass, guitar, MOOG, organ, mixer, interface, Logic Pro, and a bed. We multi-tracked and dubbed with 3 Shure SM-57s and a Beta-52. I Played bass, guitar, and organ, Ben played trumpet, drums and the MOOG, and I brought in another friend to play tablas on the intro track. 'Amid Wilderness' was produced entirely in Reason 4, with samples from Sly and the Family Stone's 'Just Like A Baby.' We wrote the songs on the fly and worked on them over a month. We were inspired by psychedelic funk, LA bass, yoga chants, and hot afternoons.
